This silver candlestick, one of a pair, is in the shape of a fluted column topped by a composite capital composed of a double row of acanthus leaves and four volutes at the corners. The column rests upon a stepped base made of four squares of diminishing size, the first and fourth of which are marked with a pattern of strigillations.

This is a a red earthenware model of three-story water pavilion surrounded by a squared moat. Each story is similar in construction but graduated in size with the smallest story on top. These small single-bay rooms feature an arched door entrance below a post and lintel window. Figures can be seen standing on the balcony of the second story. The overhanging roof eaves display roof ridges imitating tile work. The entire structure is covered in a green lead glaze with iridescence and calcification.<br /> This model is a part of 1993/1.73.1 through 1993/1.72.4.

A fragment of a stone slab, originally a facing on the drum of a small stupa, carved with a narrative scene. In this relief, he is converting devotees of the fire god Agni, the three ascetic Kasyapa brothers and their disciples. In this narrative, the Buddha asked to spend the night in the fire temple of Uruvilva Kasyapa. The temple’s fire god worshipers thought the fearsome fire serpent that dwelled within the temple would vanquish the Buddha. Instead, the fiery radiance of the meditating Buddha overwhelmed the serpent, who crawled into the Buddha’s alms bowl; the defeated snake appears in this sculpture below the Buddha. Meanwhile, the dazzling radiance the Buddha emits has been mistaken for flames and a fire brigade using ladders and pots of water has been formed to put out the fire, as can be seen here. Seated in the posture and gesture of meditation, the Buddha’s calm presence is in contrast to the action unfolding around him. Firescreen consists of a rectangular metal frame with glass and metal elements set in rectangular (largely geometric) framing patterns around a central panel of white and purple vertical glass rods. Along the bottom is a border of white, amber, and green glass circular elements in a more naturalistic pattern evoking grapes.
